Jorge tears it and makes a public profession of his faith, that´s why he is imprisoned and subjected to different tortures from which he got unharmed until finally he was beheade, in all probability in the year 303. His body, taken by his serveant Pasícrates, was taken to Lydda where he was buried at emperor Constantine´s times and moved to a temple built in his honour and his relics were spread out throughout the Christian orb.
